Logging ambient air temp

When my car was NA at start up the AAT and the IAT were about even then during cruise about a 2 degree celsius difference. Although I am no longer tuned with the predator after adding a maggie, I still use the Predator as a convenient means to log. Since installing the maggie the ambient air temp readings are always low and then increase with some driving. For example, this morning I went for a ride and at start up the ambient air temp on the Predator read 15 degrees celsius which is 59 degrees F. After making a couple of stops and having driven about twenty miles, the ambient temp slowly increased a degree at a time over maybe thirty to forty minutes of driving to 28 degrees celsius (which by the way was about right). The ambient air temp changed 11 degrees celsius or about 52 degrees F. Any ideas how this is happening?
