Hello,
I just switched to diablosport from sct.
I have a 100 shot of nitrous in my mustang gt. I know that the timing needs to be retarded 3-4 degrees. In the handheld, I only see percentages of timing decrease and it goes up to 40% retarded. I want to keep this safe and retard it 4 degrees, how can that be done? You can also adjust it through the rpm range from 2000-4000 and then 4000-5000, should it be adjusted throughout both of those ranges? if so, what should it be.
Also, I run 93 octane and used to performance tune the handheld came with. Is the timing on that tune advanced? When I go into the timing it is a 0%. What is a safe number to bump it up to when not using the nitrous?
Also, is there a 2 step rev limited option so adjust the rev limiter when staging? Its a manual...
Thanks in advanced,
Chris

RE: Retard Timing For Nitrous
Timing is already advanced in the tune.
To pull 4° remove 20% timing.
Thanks

thanks for the answer,
when I pull 4 degrees, should that be 4 degrees from stock or just 4 degrees from the predator tune that it comes with? How much advanced is the timing on that tune it comes with because when i go into the adjustments its centered at 0%
Would that make it so every time I tun i can go up 10% and then another 10% from the previous tune and then another 10% and so on.. If so, how can we tell that the timing has been set at from the predator?
Thanks again,
Chris

????
You confused the heck out of me!
I think the answer is NO.
The '0' mark in the timing parameter is the point at which the timing is advanced to in the tune.
I recommend you pull 20% of that timing out for use with the N20.
I would not suggest that you keep adding 10% to the tune at all.
Thanks

Global timing is a reference to a parameter in the 05-07 Mustang tools.MustangChris04 wrote:another quick question, where is the global timing adjustment? Ive seen people talk about it but I cant find it on the tuner.
