2000 Trans Am with HP Tuners Tune

I have bought a 2000 trans am that has a blower and h/c/i and more. It came already tuned with HP tuners Speed Density tune. It is an unlocked tune. It has a safe tune on it. I would like to just be able to change the timming and a/f ratio. I am wondering if I get a predator and backup the tune thats on the car will the predator think that is the original tune and then let me adjust some parameters from there? Also will it let me log things and see knock counts? it has an lsx block that is bored and stroked to a 396, still has a 4L60E tranny. If I can do this and then return the tune to stock (unmarry the predator) will HP tuners be able to still read tune?

with that setup and tune, it was probably tuned with hp tuners custom operating system, so the predator won't be able to do anything with it...
can't read it, can't change it, etc.

why would you want to fuck with an SD tuned/blown modded engine ? leave it be, please.
if you are posing this question, its obvious you dont know much about tuning.. but you are talking about a $10K setup there with H/C/I and blower/engine. messing with timing and a/f can blow that setup in a hot minute my friend.
please leave it alone.

Furthermore, SD tunes without the MAF .. so if you tried to play with it, you would be tuning half blind…
Long story short, please leave it be. if its running rough for some reason, or not idling right.. then take it to a dyno shop with EFI live or HP tuners software… otherwise, don’t touch it.
Save you lots of money just leaving it be
