Can factory backup be performed without OBDII power?

I have an 01 Ex. and a Predator for it. I do not have power to my OBD II. Is it still possible to re-install my factory backup without having power to the OBDII and use my wall power supply to power it up? Or will it not talk to the truck because it is not powered by the OBDII?

ummm... no... if the obd port has no power to it, then the predator can not access/communicate with it or the pcm modules it's connected to...

your obd port HAS to have power to it in order for anything to work with the predator...

why does your obd port not have power? check your fuses... check cig lighter and aux power fuses - the obd port normally gets it's power from one of those...
