How to get a datalog to send for a custom tune.

Predator revision I'm unsure of at the moment but I bought it from BMC around August of this past summer.
2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Automatic

I'm talking with Dynotuned performance about getting a custom tune. He wants me to send him a datalog of the current tune. He linked me this page...

And told me to find the information on how to do it somewhere on the bottom of that page, but I'm clueless on what I'm doing here. Need someone to walk me through this process please.

Your Predator needs to connect with your PC/Laptop running DataViewer for datalogging and DSDownloader for exporting Original backup and last tune written; importing custom tunes. These are both WinXP/Win7 programs.

To start with, Predator requires either a straight thru RS-232 9 pin cable or Usb-Serial adaptor (e.g. http://www.shopatron.com/products/produ ... /617.0.1.1). More details are found in Hemi custom tune doc. http://diablosport.com/downloads/manual ... ctions.doc .

Also, download and install DSDownloader and DataViewer programs. Post up in the respective forums if you have more questions.

Follow up question: My computer has low battery life, do I need to have my computer and predator hooked up in the car as I'm driving around to datalog? Is there a better link you can give me to fully explain this procedure?

yes, you need to use the laptop in your car for data logging, like jim said....

so you either need to charge up the battery, or get a REALLY LONG extension cord...

start up the dataviewer, and go into the Help... then go to the Real Time data section of the help file... it tells you how to do it man...

Thanks. Looks like I won't be datalogging for a bit longer. My battery is beat and won't take a charge. Black Friday is NO time to go battery shopping. lol
