Catch can

Mike,

I bought a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X that has a hemi in it from a 2006 Commander.

I bought a catch can for it but I'm wondering if I really need it as the PVC line comes directly out of the air induction cowling and right back into the oil fill spout. I've included a picture that looks alot like my engine so you can see the very short tube coming out of the cowling into the spout (right behind/underneath the chrome radiator pipe). In your opinion, would I still need a catch can?

Thats not the right hose. The hose you're talking about is a breather hose. The PCV is on the other side.

I can't seem to find the hose at all. A friend of mine just bought a 2007 ram with a hemi and there is no hose to be found on that engine either. I've been reading that the hose might be internal to the engine? If that's the case, is there really a need for a catch can on those engines?

We dont offer a catch can for the 03-08 HEMI Rams as they do not use a traditional PCV valve, thus there is nowhere to connect the hose.

09-up models do have a PCV.

Mike,

Would that apply to the '06 Jeep Commander hemi as that is the engine that they retro'd in my '06 Wrangler? It seems to have the exact same design.

Thanks for the clarification.
