Tuning Question

Once a tune is installed, how long does it take for the computer to learn the tune? Does it take a certain amount of time or miles to feel the full efftects of the tune??

if you're adjusting the injector slope to dial in your ltft's, then drive for about 30 miles and the ltft's should be relearned by then. If you're adjusting the PE WOT fueling, that will take effect immediately.

what about just a straight performance or 87 octane tune?

yes, that adjusts the air/fueling curve - so you'll want to drive for about 30 miles or so... don't know if you'd feel any or much of a difference with the 87 tune though...

What is the difference between the 87 Octane tune and the Performance tune on an 05 Avalanche with the 5.3L??
