U7146-2001 Cobra...Only one pre-installed tune?

Hello, I have an 01 Cobra and just purchased the u7146 for it a week ago. Version 9r09. - On my unit i only have one Pre-programed tune *93 octane* and thats it. When browsing forums it seems like there should be 3 tunes (87,91,93 octane). Is it only supposed to come with one tune? . I have a JLT fender cai and I didn't notice any way to compensate for it aside from ordering a 60$ tune. On many forum posts it appears there is pre-installed support for multiple cai's. Thank you for your time. Any help is appreciated.

Is the 01 Cobra a premium only vehicle? my Mach 1 is and I only have a 93 octane tune.

yes... you should not run anything less than 91 octane gas in that car... 93 octane would be even better if you can get it in your area...

The CAI specific tunes generally are made available only when you purchase the intake and the programmer in a bundle pack. The same is done when you buy certain superchargers and exhaust systems. They come with a canned tune that will help to compensate for the added horsepower...

although, the canned Diablo Tunes are nothing compared to what a $60 tune can do. That intake by itself won't net much of a difference, as your intake was not your restriction to begin with. The increased timing for a 93 tune and the ability to set different preferences are really all you can do by yourself.

Get some more mods, then pay the $60 bux for a custom tune. You won't be disappointed...

Actully, CAI tunes are only required for 05+ cars, the earlier cars do not react with failsafes as soon as you install a CAI like the 05+ cars do

ANd yes, the 4V Cobra motors were Never designed for 87 octane use, thus there is just a premium fuel tune for use with a minimum of 91 octane.
