I just installed the performance tune from the U7130. The tune is better than stock but my question is this. With a performance tune shouldn't it emit some amount of smoke under heavy throttle? The truck runs perfect but there is absolutely no smoke at idle,part throttle or wide open.

i dont think any tunes emit smoke at idle,no smoke is a good thing,u are burning the fuel efficently,try exreme for some smoke is urs a stik or auto,one of them has a slightly difernt turbo which may act diferntly with tunes

I dont really want the smoke just wondering if it may be running to lean.My truck is an 03 auto with 130000 on it. I looked at the RKL tunes but with the truck all stock except K&N CAI I didn't want to go overboard and kill it. I did notice the turbo seems to spool up a little quicker and the motor is a little more noisy. I put the tow tune in today because i regularly pull a 30ft trailer and it seems to rattle more with the tow tune than the performance tune.

ya the autos have slightly smaller turbo which may spool a lil faster so u dont see any smoke,thats a good thing,the rattle ur hearing is the tune advancing the injector timming,i think u can download a non timming version of the performance tune,i personally dont run timming at all.im running the rkl extreme tune with no timming,its my favorite tune,i can add timming on the fly with my quad x2 if i want.i like how my truck runs without the added timming,all trucks are diferent though
