Hey i'm having the same problem everybody else is on here with the 2011 chevy 6.0 when i try to load a tune it shows error seed -1 I called the other day and yall said that this model truck has a different ECM and yall are making a update to make it work. my question is when are we gonna get the update i didn't spend almost 700 dollars for this paper wait cause that's all it's good for right now.

download and install the DSDownloader program from here:

then follow these instructions:



2. Connect your Predator/Trinity to your PC and power it up, and then run the DSDownloader program.

3. Once you open DSDownloader, click "Options" and make sure there is a check mark next to "Auto Connect".

4. Once Auto Connect is enabled, the DSDL will search for and find your Predator/Trinity on its assigned COM port.

5. Once it finds your Predator/Trinity, you will be taken to the Express Tune page. From the Express Tune page, click "Get tune file from Tool".

6. The DSDownloader will then popup a new window with two choices - Original Backup and Last Tune Written. Click on ORIGINAL BACKUP once to select/highlight it, and then click OK to save it to a location of your choosing on your PC.

7. Your "Original Backup" tune file is now saved to your PC.

That don't work it says there's no files how can it get it from the ECM when it can't connect to the ECM?

so it's not even backing up the original backup stock tune first and THEN you get that error?? you just get that error right from the start???

When i hook it up to my truck and hit performance it counts up a few times and while it's doing this my message center keeps popping up service 4x4, service trailer brakes, and park assist off. Then it says failed cut PCM: ERROR SEED/ KEY(-1) It never will get a backup stock tune in it to upload to my computer. and i updated to Version: v.1r07b and still the same.

sounds like GM locked the PCM by accident...

And why would they do that? Kinda sounds like yall have a problem making a program for this truck and want to point the finger at gm i want a fix for this or my money back this is a bunch of crap.

No sir. GM has a problem with their flashes, this is not the first time it has happened nor will it be the last likely.

Lew will recall when the 09 trucks had the same exact issue, the dealers could not even flash tem for a few months while GM worked on a fix to get into their own PCMs.

well if thats the case what do i need to do to correct this problem?

Cause if i take it to the dealer there going to want to know how i know this and what i was trying to do to find this out i don't want to take a chance of them looking into it and voiding my warranty.
