voided warranty

took my truck into the dealer for a engine miss and then i got a call from the dealer and they said that my warranty had been voided due to a hot box has been on my truck.my truck was bone stock when i took it in there.they have proof.fomr my keey counts and the fuel numbers arn't adding up they said.and the idle time isn't right.i tried to dien it but thery have got me no doubt about it.im going to go to a different dealer and see if they will help me

if you want your warranty you might want to get rid of the programmer before something happens.cause right now im fu@@ed.

Dodge has the worst warranty of them all. my ford dealer said take out the preditor and install the superchip that they would sell me and all was good!how does that make sents?

ITS A 5.9 ,I TOOK IT TO THE SECOND DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY SAID THE SAME THING.THEY SAID TAKE IT TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY SAID THEY MIGHT HELP.BUT THERES NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE I DIDN'T BUY IT FROM THEM.IM GOING TO CALL THE DEALER IN DALLAS I BOUGHT IT FROM BUT IDK IF THAT WILL HELP.IM NOT HAPPY CAUSE I WAS TOLD THE PRED LEAVE NO TRACE IT IS DOCUMENTED ON MANY WEBSITES.I THINK THAT DIABLOSPORT SHOULD TAKE THAT OF THE SUPPLIERS WEBSITES,FOR FALSE AVR.

Once the warranty has been voided it's in the system no matter where you take it.....

My Predator is off the truck right now and I am really not sure if it will go back on. I'm just not sure I want to pay a high repair bill that may be blamed on it even if it was not the problem..... I may say to hell with it and throw it back on though. Man, that power sure is nice......

I've been thinking about this ever since posting it. I don't know who I'm trying to kid! I'm a Motorhead and a speedfreak. Every vehicle I have owned has always been modded and I will probably continue to mod this one. It's a disease i can't seem to shake. I'm sorry for your problems and I hope you get them resolved without too much $$$ out of your pocket but I will continue on with the same motto I have always had. "GO OR BLOW!!" Of course, when I first started using that motto I was driving a 68 Road Runner that was paid for and I had tons of parts and even parts cars to fix anything that broke....

Ok, for starters, DO NOT admit to having a programmer in the car, as there is NO WAY they can 'prove' that you did.
Now, what did you take it in for? I ask because they can only deny a warranty claim because of aftermarket parts if they can PROVE that there was a programmer in the vehicle AND that the programmer is the cause of the issue. They will not be able to do this. They THINK they know...but they do not.

Look up the Magnusson Moss act....this is an act of Congress designed to help protect consumers from this type of situation. Check it out, know your rights, and fight like mad.

Honestly I don't care... you play you pay. How many times does this have to happen before people will wake up. Repeat after me, "I am my own warranty station."

Smokindodge, what kind of engine miss are you refering to? Are you running out of fuel pressure? Do you have gauges? Not knocking ya, just trying to help. We can probably diagnose things here instead of the dealer.

When you pull the Predator off the truck to take it to the dealer it wipes out the key counts. The only way to wipe key counts is by having a downloader on the vehicle, having an ECM get wiped out and replaced, or by having a reflash done at the dealer. If neither of the last two have been recently done then it tells them you had a downloader on your truck... Pretty simple.....

The MM act is great if you have the time, money, and another vehicle to drive while you are in a court battle for months or years. The automakers have the lawyers, the time, and the money.

You just need to face it dude. You modded your truck and it crapped out on you. It sucks but now it's time to pay the piper....

While this act is supposed to protect our rights as warranty holders and holds the dealers and manufacturers responsible for PROVING the mod you added to your vehicle has caused damage, you'd have a strong fight on your hands. In other words, they cannot deny your cd player warranty because you added bigger tires, but if you have an engine problem and they see you've modded your engine in any way, you're going to be up a creek without a paddle. Unless you yourself are an attorney, you won't want to fight a losing battle in court. The manufacturers have attorneys on the clock all the time willing to fight to save them money. See what I'm getting at?

Dodge warranty is not worth the paper it writtin on!
olny if you know a dealer!!!
30 to 50k for he truck and they will not stand behind it it's bull hocky!!!
I had a dealer tell me because my truck had guages on it they would VOID my warranty!
It's bull hocky if you ask me.....
makes me Soooo mad!

well first off.i didn't tell them i had one on there.

second trik96 i had the programmer on there for bout two weeks it gave me problems so i removed it.i haven't had it o there for bout over a month.i never played hard with it.

they know i had some kind of hot box they called it.they said that would have to have a cummins rep come down and they could show me how.and then i said forget it i will come get the truck.the second dealer said that i have had some kind of chip or programmer on there and my warranty would be diened by cummins,they said they were sorry but they said to try the dealer i bought it from they might work something out with me.

And the diablo programmer is listed on a few sites that is undetecable.so it is false avertising.....
