Heres my problem. It doesn't do what it is advertised to do.
1. I can not adjust the tire size for my 35 inch tires.
2. I tried the Tire Revs adjustment but that doesn't work either.
3. I have ran 2 tanks of diesel on every tune and the Mileage gains that are advertised just aren't there. I have gone back to the stock tune to get the best mileage. best I had with the 7164 was 10.9, I am at 12.4 with the stock tune.
4. Customer service is poor at best.

Travis,
Let's give Jesse a chance....Looks like he's new and wants to help some of ya'll that have had some real troubles. I just want more MPG's before we get up to $5 per gallon again...or even 4 for that matter.

Problems with Predator U7164

I have been running the 80hp tune for 2 months and had a problem with the exhaust filter cleaning cycle. My truck was stuck on the exhaust cleaning for 2 1/2 days (I drive roughly 50-75 highway miles in a day) until I installed the original back up and the problem was gone. I have not since re installed the predator in my truck, nor had any other related problems. I do not see any mileage increase on any of the predator tunes. This device may be justified if it, at least had a DPF delete function.

Hi All;
I just registered, after purchasing a Predator U7164. I have not installed the tune yet but have my doubts about it's quality, judging by the previous post on this forum. Is there anything I need to know before installing the tune to get better milage on my Ford?

The point of this thread is to gather info from users to see what specifically needs to be addressed, so we can make sure that gets done during the current update that we are working on.
Thanks

Hi. I have a 2008 Ford King Ranch F250 with 20" tires and have installed 17" winter tires (winter tires are not available in original size). I have tried changing the tire size several different ways (even reverting back to the original tune and going to 900 revs down to 550 revs) and the Predator U7164 shows the change but the speedometer error doesn't change at all. I have even downloaded the latest crom with no change. You did indicate that the problem may be that the Predator isn't writing to the ABS module. Any idea when I might be able to look at my speedometer and see the right speed?

Thanks, Andy.
As you can see I have had issues for a while. If you follow my original post you will get some idea of the problems encountered.
Bottom line : 1)ability to change tire sizes.
2)better fuel economy (would depowering the tune help with this as I don't generally need all the power this truck has on a daily basis?)
3)biggest issue with some of the tunes is too long a DPF regen or an inability to get out of a regen once initiated.
Does this help?
