Calibration issues

Post by 11z71 »

So i got my trinity yesterday and performed all the latest software updates. Went to go install a tune in the truck and it's telling me my calibration is not supported. What am I doing wrong? I selected the right vehicle from the list.
Part#6jv9c80
rev# vr107.b
vehicle is a 2011 silverado 1500 6.2 liter.

you have an unsupported engine calibration ID...

use the trinity to view the calibration IDs and post them up here...

I used the GMC Sierra 6.2 tune for my 2011 6.2 Chevy. Seems to be working just fine. The Trinity I bought from the Diablo website had the latest version in it. FYI, good luck. I am enjoying the Diablo tune! 8)

Go to the main Trinity menu, selct options, select show information, and it will bring up all your information, including the Calid. Also scroll down, and it will bring your truck id up, indicating the Trinity has married with, and stored your original tune.

Did it read and store your original tune? It has to do that, before you can go forward. The first time I tried to get it to read, I got an error code. I started over again, and it read the factory tune, and went ahead and let me load the Diablo tune.

Sorry, I can't be of more help. I did get mine to work. :D

yes, you will need to let it read a copy of your original backup stock tune...

then export a copy of that original backup tune file to your pc, and then post it up here as well, along with the other info...

Well i've made progress with it, got it to marry to the truck and backed up original tune and now says custom tunes and diablo tunes but the diablo tunes only shows original and modify stock parameters, no actual diablo tune( 93 octane or so).

Looks like your getting close! :D Mine did show the 87 tune and the Diablo tune. I modified Diablo for speedlimiter, and does indeed work!

You have a later serial number than mine.

Hope it's just a little gremlin.

that's because your engine calibration ID is not support... so the only choice you have is to modify your stock tune...

need to post up a copy of your original backup stock tune file...

Hey lew, sent you an email of that file, for some reason it would not let me post it up on here.

yeah, you need to post it on here... the engineers need it to add support for your engine calibration... and I don't do that part... hehe...

click the POST REPLY button down at the bottom of the page, and there's a section in that reply form where you can attach/upload your file to a post...
