Wondering what if any difference theres two tuners would make.

Also wondering if there would be any difference in the two with a Diablew tune

no difference for either one tune wise with the custom tune... custom tune will be done the same for either one...

the canned preset tunes are the same between the two products...

differences are - trinity is easier to use, has more features, has better data logging, and will have more updates for it in the future, like the ability to tune more than one vehicle at a time, etc etc...

the predator will not get new updates like that, as it is memory/storage space limited... and will be phased out at some point...

so, if you want to be able to tune future vehicles, and get updates to be able to do that and other new features that come out, then you definitely want to get the Trinity...

IOnce the Predator is replaced by inTune, it will have TCM support as well.

correct.... no tcm/tranny support for predator's....

the Trinity will get the update when it's available...

and the predator's replacement, the inTune, will get the update as well...

So once that is available would you be able to redo a custom tune for my truck with TCM support?

Where can i get info on intune?
Will there be a swap credit? When it's available? Cost?

I'm within the return date on my Predator and wouldn't mind returning it to Autoanything and wait a bit for the better one if it's a decent price.

yes absolutely... can re-do the custom tune to tweak the tranny stuff at that time...

I am not sure about any trade-in, credit, etc etc... I have no details regarding that...

no ETA on the inTune's release or availability... it will retail for under $400....

Guess i'll take my truck to Baytown to get a 1/4 mile time the return the tuner and await the arrival of InTune.
The suspense of the InTune is killing me!

I am looking at Programmers for my 08 GMC & 05 Tahoe.

My question is: Can I use the Trinity for both vehicles, or will I have to purchase 2 seperate Trinity's?

Regards,

Jeremy

the 2005 Tahoe is not supported by the Trinity... so you can't use it at all on that vehicle...

BUT, even if it was, you can only tune one vehicle at a time with the trinity, just like the predator's do....

so if you wanted to have both vehicles tuned at the same time, you would have to buy two programmers, one for each vehicle...

So in short and unbiased opinions aside, which one would you recommend for an 08 GMC 1500?

So many options out there, I have Google overload!

Eventually trinity will allow you to purchase extra licenses to tune more than one vehicle with the same tool ;)

How long before you will be able to purchase more than (1) license?

I am toying with the idea of a custom tune as well, but would like the ability to change trans, tires etc.!
