U7186 2006 GMC 3500 Diesel Turbo Lag

I have an 06 3500 GMC with the Predator U7186 and it seems the larger the tune I put in it the more turbo lag there is and I'm talking three four and more seconds before the power curve starts to kick in and twice now the throttle stuck wide open. What could be the problem?

Certainly not something I have ever experienced, fuel filter would be my first guess.
