I have a predator u7194 and it had revision 9R07, amd i updated it to 9r20. after updating it the predator says incompatible hardware. (no serial flash found) I have a 2008 silverado with a 4.8. thanks and please help

you have an older version 7194 that can not use the newer, bigger crom revision update files...

there is no need for you to update anyway for your 2008 vehicle....

you can only go up to revision 9r08 or 9r10...

download one of these and update your predator to one of these revisions instead...

Thanks for the quick response, but i tried both revisions and now it will only let me modify the stock tune. i dont have the option of the performance tune anymore...

I have the same issue. I came from the 9t08 crom and tried to upgrade to 9r20. Now Im trying to flash and it wont let me.
Wont detect on Downloader....

Help!! Was this ever resolved?

Would any of the above crom be compatible with my 09 yukon xl 5.3L?

load the 9r08 file.

no... will need to get a custom tune done for that...

Will this be ok for a Camaro 2010 2SS then? Is there a Diablo tune still and can I remove the speed limiter after ? Thanks for the quick reply.

Just tried both revisions and they both fail half way through. Download failed or transmissio failed. Any ideas ?

Just got to 6032 from the 7000 something and then download fail agin? revision 10

as for your other issues... not sure what the issue is with your computer...

could be the usb port is going into "power save" or "sleep" mode ????

something is interrupting the communications... because if it was an issue where it couldn't find your predator at all, it wouldn't even start updating it...

so, I'm not sure exactly... will have to have someone else chime in on this...

Hi I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 and the Predator U7194 revision 9r17. I did a very mild tune with cylinder deactivation off. I ran this for a couple months then my trucks charging system started acting up. Volt meter would go from over 14 volts drop down way below 14 volts, battery was not getting full charge, service air bag message flashing on info display. One day battery was dead. I put up with this for about a week then I had alt and battery checked they checked fine. I don't know what made do this but I hooked the tuner up and put the stock tune back. So far the truck has been doing just fine with no issues. I thought maybe the programming scewed up some how. I thought maybe it needed a software update. so I downloaded everything tried to do update and the tuner says it can't downgrade from rev. 9r17 to rev 9r21. I don't know whats going on.

Yeah but it starts donloading and then crashes near the end but if you actually look at the predator unit all it says is installing bootloader I think there isn´t actually any movement on the screen. Wouldn´t it show the loading bar whilst installing ? I think its naffed to be honest. Because i have the same problem on my laptop
