2500HD towing parameters

Have a 2wd '01 GMC 2500HD w/6.0L. I daily drive this vehicle 140 miles a day and tow my race trailer with it every weekend. Intake and exhaust are the only mods. (oversize tires but I figured that one out)

What parameters will give me the best mix of performance and power? Any advice on settings? I would really like to get away from having to run 93 octane if I can...try 2-3 tanks of fuel a week at over $3 a gallon.

Programmer is a brand new U7198 sitting on my desk at home just waiting fo me to get there.

Thanks!

I would suggest you use the 87 octane tune from the Predator for what you are doing.

Thanks

What effect on torque management does the 87 octane tune have?

Holy Cow!!! Thanks for the new truck guys!! I honestly wasn't ready for that. I was cruising along a country road checking the speedo calibration with the GPS and decided to put my foot in it. Who would think a truck this size can actually "leap" out there at 65 mph?

Now, what adjustments can I make to torque management to help with towing?

TM is reduced inthe tunes, I would suggest leaving it as is for towing.
You can disable TM completely, but you may wear out the tranny pretty quickly by doing so.

Thanks
