2010 Challenger SE

Post by Craigotron »

Hello everybody! I just recently purchased the U1736 for my 2010 Dodge Challenger SE. I have a question that I've seen asked quite a bit on various boards but it hasn't gotten a good answer. I'll detail the issue below so this post will hopefully be nice and searchable:

My car which I bought late summer 2010 has the 68054123AD calibration/tune built into it. Assuming it came from the factory that way or it was flashed onto it when the car went in for A/C service.

When I hooked up the Diablosport Predator it gave me the standard line that lots of people have been having problems with in that it says something to the extent you have to flash on an earlier version of the cars PCM coding which is:

68054123AC

I'll be honest: I'm not exactly thrilled to BACK a version to put a custom tune on my car. When I reflash the car to go to the dealership they'll probably turn around and put the upgraded version in and etc.

The biggest question I have is when are us 3.5L guys going to get 68054123AD? I see that the R/Ts have it at least... Hopefully soon? The secondary question that goes along with this is won't having an older tune on a newer car be a red flag? Did the 2010s ever use the AC tune or did the come with AD and the AC is a holdover from an earlier model year? What if I want to go back to stock and I mean *true* stock - where will I get the AD flash from?

I'll keep bugging until I get an answer!

They're closed until Monday. Friday night is not a good time to ask a question.

I am sure they are working on it so just backdate it. I did on my R/T when AD was not supported. Everything will be fine.

Giving this a bump; anybody have any clue as to when I can get a current stock tune into my Predator? What's the product cycle with this company like; because I have the 3.5 am I doomed to "also ran" status while I have the product.

I'm also wondering - how vital is an aftermarket exhaust for the 91/93 tunes? The disclaimer language suggests that I do just that but this the first I've heard of it. What's the technical reasoning behind it? I've been just running the 89 tune to be safe and get used the idea of running a non-stock tune.

I guess I should check the downloads page BEFORE I post. Also don't want to seem ungrateful: Thanks DiabloSport crew for the update. Much appreciated.

My 91/93 question still stands, though!

No need for exhaust for the tunes, they were designed on and for stock vehicles.

Thanks

Mikel -

Thanks for the response. I have a CAI on the vehicle; is there any sort of tune available for it like on the R/T & SRT8s to take advantage of it?
