U7170 PID Ford 7.3 engine oil temp

Post by mgmadness »

U7170
2001 Ford F250 manual trans, 7.3 diesel, stock

I was looking at preditor real data but couldn't find engine oil temp when I scrolled through the list. The engine coolent temp looks to be -40 F which indicates to me that it is not being recorded by Preditor.

Is engine oil temp data available?

-40 is a default for a PID that does not function, so it sounds like that PCM may not support that PID.

How about the engine oil temp (EOT)? I've read that EOT it is a key PCM input and wanted to verify it is performing correctly.
