Can't download logs
Since installing the latest crom I am no longer able to download the data logs. Tried on both windows 7 and vista. tried running as administrator. Would like to get this resolved as I now have to start over with my tune. Will try running live data recording tomorrow.

I get an " Unexpected error has occurred " message. Wondering if the problem could be .crom / Trinity based. Tried more logs today...each time after about a minute the Trinity would stop logging and then prompt " Do you want to save the recorded log ? ". This happened at least seven times. Monitoring was fine. Also when I installed the 93tune my digital clock reset to 12. Later when the tune was modified same clock reset happened. This had never happened before this latest .crom and update were installed. One other thing when I go to do a log some times the Trinity will not scroll down unless the keyboard is used and if I try to use the touch screen to scroll it will display a layout that hasn't been entered. Using DV3.2

More good news ...as of Thursday the monitoring function is screwing up. Error code... "Data stream has stopped. Waiting for engine to start". This is while the car is being driven ... then the screen goes blank , resets, and starts monitoring again. It does this several times until the screen freezes.
Will not use the Trinity again until we get these issues resolved. At this point I am really regretting doing the update and incremental as everything was working fine before the installs.
Need some suggestions and help guys.

So using some deduction...removed the layout that I created. This is the one the Trinity seemed to be having the problems with and it seemed to be affecting the overall performance, though not sure why, and then downloaded DV3. something. Now able to download and view logs and hopefully all will be ok and the error messages on the Trinity and DV will stop. If so the regrets will quickly be gone.
Further testing on Saturday had these results. I was able to add gauges onto existing default layouts and save them as a new layout. Monitoring, logging and DV all worked fine. When I create totally new layouts with gauge pages and save them, they seem to save ok, and then try monitoring or logging is when all the error codes and messages happen that are mentioned above. This has happened on 4 different new layouts.

So on the logs that have been done lately all the gauges seem to be recording including the external AFR. For some reason the AFR is not showing up on the DV3 viewer. What could I have forgotten to do ?

Short log done. As you will see the External AFR Pid is not showing on the DV screen and yet it does show while logging/monitoring on the Trinity. Check AFR.csv

I need the log from Trinity. Not the CSV export!
In DV, use File->Download Log Data. Attach that file.
As for your questions:
- Your older layouts should work with. If you give Me alog I can tell if the analog config is correct.
- Export a "newly" created layout with DSDL and I'll look at it.
- Layouts have never downloaded to DV.
- IF ORI has been restored, you can attached Trinity to DSDL. It will auto-update with 'R' croms. Since your using a T crom, you'll need to get the most current and install manually.

jimb, just curious, what is the difference between a t.crom and r.crom ?
Not sure how I export a layout of gauges through DSDL ...thought that was just for tunes.

As suspected, your analog config indexes are wacked. DV is out of sync with Trinity for analog inputs. Do the following:
- options Analog config->reset to defaults.
- add your AFR setting lower and upper bound using the analog input channel you have wired in. (looks like A1).
- Don't delete any of the default analog input channels.
Make sure your using the current version of DV (3.3.0.7) when real-time logging or downloading Trinity logs. To export your dash layouts, either use the SDCard slot or DSDL selecting "Trinity Browser" tab. Select "refresh", then dcx_can_gas folder.
"T" croms are beta test croms to resolve problems found in field. In this case 1r08aa fixes the Boost Synth PID for SRT4's.

thanks jimb will get back to you on the Trinity stuff but for now ...on the downloads page the croms listed are 1r08 and 1r08a. There isn't any 1r08aa listed on the page I'm viewing.

This is an issue I reported with the 1r08aa crom a while ago. Try creating the layout and logging immediately. Don't save the layout. It will probably work. Duster noticed that so credit him with the workaround if that does work for you. I know it may be a pain, but stuff like this is just what I've come to expect with the Trinity.
