I purchased the SLP version of the Predator last week for my 1999 SS. I have their custom tune in my car, but it is running lean. I want to tune the fuel trims and monitor the a/f ratio but there are no parameters to do either. When I go to diagnostics there is no a/f parameter just the st and lt trims, and when I go to modify tune, there is no parameter to modify the fuel trims, only the 2 PE ranges. What gives?

Read the sticky by 06MonteSS. You have to use LTFT adjustment to achieve optimum a/f.

in the modify tune parameter list, you don't have one for "Injectors" > "Injector Slope" ??? you modify the injector slope to adjust the fueling to get the ltft's in line...

when you go to modify a tune, what do you have for available parameters to adjust?

06monteSS....I only have a handful of parameters available to me under modify tune, they are PE for 2-4K and 4-6K with a limited range of only +/- 5%, knock, fan temps, and a few others, but nothing to adjust LTFT's like injector slope. I bouth this tuner from SLP, when I called them they said that they buy the tuner from Diablo and all they do is add their custom tune to it, if there is not parameters for LTFT's it is a Diablo problem. So I called Diablo, they asked me a bunch of questions about version and what the unit say's on start up, then they said that they make these tuners to SLP's specs, so if the parameters are not there it is becasue that is how SLP specs them out, so I called SLP back and told them this and they said that is BS.....all both companies are doing is giving me the run around and I'm ,osing a lot of respect for both, particularly SLP whom I have spent almost $4000 with in the past 3 months.....sorry to vent......you have been lots of help and I appreciate that.
mikel....the reason I think it is running lean is, with all the bolt on mods I have there seems to be lack of power, when I monitor the LTFT's in cloosed loop they run in the mid 20's, during WOT they are about 10, and the bank 1&2 #1 OS's are in the range of 880-900, I think they should be more like 910-930.....also, read the comments I made above to 06monteSS about the tuner it's self, this is very frustrating situation for me, I'm really un-happy how both companies have treated me so far...if you feel like you can help me with this please feel free to e-mail me...I would really appreciate any help I can get right now.

OK joen, here is the deal.
I discussed this with with my coworkers today and addressed your concerns to them.
They have assured me that the range of adjustment and available parameters in the tool are based on what SLP requested when we were developing the tools. They did not want injector slope parameters, so they are not there.
They wanted the fueling and timing parameters range of adjustment reduced to 5%, so thats how we did it.
We certainly did not do this to limit the functionality of the Predators, but simply to meet SLPs requirements.
I apologize if this is not what you wanted to hear, hopefully you can get SLP to swap the tool out for a standard U7198 with the full range of adjustment.
Thanks
