I've been having the exact same problem, but nobody knows why. Even when stopped, the motor will surge and i'll have to lean on the brakes to keep from rear ending the guy in front of me.

things would do contribute:

1. TB is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
2. Fuel trims, please do record a log and post it.

Chrysler does not allow you to clean the TB. Its says DO NOT CLEAN on the side. I clean them all the time before sending out for porting, but they say not to.

I know for a fact my fuel trims are messed up. Johan just sent me a tune with them adjusted. That explains my issue, but what about all the others? Everybodys fueling can't be off.

Here is what worked on my car, try a little less inverse on the ETC in your tune. My fuel tables are dead on and I had this issue, when my ETC was loosened up but with less ETC and my surge is gone for the most part, it does show up everynow and again but very rarely I also bumped up my idle and with the idle increased the problem is all but gone
JBA complete system, K/N typhoon, hood struts, splash gaurds and now predator + 180 thermo and some secret stuff

Come on, if the TB full of dirts do u think will keep it like that !!!

Leave it to cool down, gently clean the internal wall of the TB.

Fixing the fuel trims didn't fix the problem on mine. Its still doing it just as bad, if not worse. In traffic this afternoon the damn thing was stuttering like it had a misfire, then once the road opened up, it was perfectly fine.

I was thinking it could be a short block problem. I haven't tested it yet.

I still have the damn transmission sitting in the garage waiting to be installed, having to tear down the short block would seriously make me consider selling the truck. How long until that BMW support? An X5M sure sounds good now.
