No plans for shift on the fly with u7131

I spoke the tech department today in regards to some of the things i've seen in this forum. The first issue was that the programmer is advertised with the shift on the fly feature, this was one of the reasons i bought the programmer so i didn't need to download every time i wanted to change tune. I do realize that i wouldn't be changing tunes on a regular basis, but it was a nice selling feature. The tech department told me today there was no plans for a revision to fix this issue. The second concern was that the programmer erased key cycles, the only advise they could give me was to say that i disconnected my battery, and this would support the lack of key cycles. I am a little diassapointed and if i could return the product i would. I am not disputing the fact the programmer , and how it works in the truck, but i just wanted to see how people were responding to some of these issues.

im by no means condoning advertising somthing thats not available but i think the "on the fly"feature was brought into the mix as a custom feature not a factory feature, they probaly should remove it from the list of features available.as for the keycounts im a firm believer that any programmer could be detectable if they look hard enough.if your almost doubling the hp of a engine you cant expect to have waranty cover any issues that may occur.i have a bit of waranty left but i knew i kissed it goodbye when i added the tuner.

Contrary to what Diablo says.....disconnecting the battery WILL NOT reset key cycles - only a ECM reflash will.

remember this will catch up with them, because it is detectable with all Brands & models as it will do the same w/ the hemi & i have heard it does w/ the ford & chevy guys.

I think the thing that concerns me the most is that there seems to be no replies from tech on any of the posts related to these items. I think if they posted that they had plans to work on these issues it may give some people some sort of relief. Just to pour a little salt on the wound, a frien just bought a new Duramax and the dealer sold him a BullyDog programmer, and even walked through the programming with him. Fugure that one out!

I'd be happy to provide the shift on the fly crom to anyone that wants it, but it did display some issues in most trucks, but I have gotten calls from guys that still use it and have had no issues (mostly manual trucks).

Thanks

Mike, what type of issues were people having with the "shift on the fly options"? Mine is an automatic so i most likely would have trouble. Is there any plans of updates in response to the key count issue, or is this adead issue? I paid alot of money for extended warranty and would hate to have it voided over getting a little better fuel economy. The power is nice, but i just bought it for the extra economy. I have taken it off now, and am not sure if i trust putting it back on. Some peace of mind would be nice considering all the confusion i see on this forum. I know DS is busy, but i think these are concerns that should be addressed.
