2010 Challenger SRT8 - wheel hop on accel and right turn

Just upgraded from my 2006 Dodge Charger RT to a 2010 Challenger SRT8. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
Only problem I'm experiencing though is when I accel and turn right, the rear end hops around more than Bugs Bunny on crack. Seriously, it feels terrible. I added the MPG Booster tune yesterday and today it was MUCH worse. Probably will go back to 91 or 93 tune or just go back to stock which it does it the least, but still there. Is it possible that the Diablo Predator tuner is increasing wheel hop in the rear end? My chally is an automatic too. I can take a corner at 20-30 MPH or really get it to hop at 40+ MPH. I don't notice it turning left--haven't been able to get it to do it...only right turns. Weird.
I have an appt with the dealer Thursday morning because something ain't right.
HELP! Anyone experience this before? or know what's going on?

Its because theres no mechanical limited slip and the tune reduces torque management. The only solution is to learn to control your right foot.

So it does it when in stock mode and thought I might notice it decrease with the 91 or 93 tune, but does it as much (and annoying)....seriously thought the wheels were coming out from underneath me. When you reference mech. limited slip is this a "feature" what I'm feeling/hearing? How does the 91/93 tunes affect this? THANKS for the quick response!
PS...THERE IS NO WAY I can control my right foot, it has a mind of its own!

More info - I checked the rear end and noticed that the right rear shock is completely black. Could the shock be blown? Could something else have caused this condition?

The shock is black? Doesn't the Challenger have Bilsteins? Maybe its leaking?
A mechanical limited slip differential routes power to both wheels instead of just one. Without it, all the power is going to one wheel. Chrysler tries to control it by having the rear brakes slow the spinning wheel, but it doesn't do a very good job.

yeah, possibly a bad/leaking shock. It's coated in black. see pictures. Taking into dealer in the morning. Should be covered by factory warranty though.

You're thinking of the 2008 only...2009+ SRT8 Challengers came with mechanical limited-slip differentials in addition to ESP programming....so mpsharp's car has a limited-slip unit.
That shock isn't supposed to look like that so likely defective seal and a warranty replacement will likely solve the problem.

You sure? I thought only 6 speed Track Pack cars had a limited slip.

Ah you're thinking of R/T Challengers which don't have it, mpsharp's car is an SRT8 which has limited slip differential.
Yup, build sheet code DSA on automatic SRT8 Challengers for 2009 & 2010.

By the way, this was caused by a blown rear Bilstein shock. WOW.
