newbie help!

Post by diablomike63 »

Hi everyone, I just purchased the predator for my 2010 Dodge Challenger SE V6 3.5HO, I am planning on installing the 93 CAI tune, I just have a couple of questions. First do I have to download any updates before doing the tune, second does the 93CAI tune also firm up my shifts or is that something I need to do different different. I also heard that I should clear the TCM adaptives, how do I do that? All I want from the predator is quicker throttle response, and firmer shifts, I hope that it is as easy as I heard it was. Thanks! Sorry, I ment to post this under Dodge Gas, I will post it there.

hello. You only need to get an update if the tool suggests that you do so, this will happen the first time you plug the programmer into the vehicle.

in order to adjust items like the tcm adaptive and shift firmness.
1 you need to be using a 5speed transmission. (not compatible with 4 speed trans)

you would look on the main menu of the system and choose performance tunes
if this is the first time you are using the tool a backup file will have to be downloaded first before any thing will proceed.

after the back up is completed. you will select either quick adjust or a specific tune to find the items you want to adjust.

Now if you are selecting a tune you would choose modify NOT install to see the desired menu functions you want to adjust.

to do things like shift firmness and tcm adpatives they will not require you to actually install the tune each time to accomplish what you want. It will tell you after each to cycle the key to complete action.
