i have the U7137 recently updated to the new 9r12. i was trying out the new mileage booster. with no real gain in MPG, i switched back over to the 91 Oct tune i was using before. i have had it back on the 91 tune for about 5 days. this afternoon on my way home the check engine light came on. i read the code and found that "post catalyst bank 2 lean". i'm not sure what this means or how to fix it.... if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated....
MODs: Mopar CAI w/large K&N filter, MagnaFlow SI/DO dumped behind the cab, and the DiabloSport
i only use preuim fuel and it does currently have a fuel oct booster in it with a almost full tank of gas.....

That code is usually one that gets thrown if there is an exhaust leak near that o2 sensor, I would check into that. Also, I would put the stock tune back on and see if the code gets thrown again, to try and rule out the tune.

i have put the stock tune back on and ran it about 20+ mils. no lights on yet. gotta work tomorrow so that will be 70 more mils on it. when i first got the truck (4000 mils) i could swear it had an exhast leak. after taking it back to the dealer several times and them replacing several different things. they finely blamed it on my MOPAR CAI and would do nothing else about it.... i have sense got the muffler and the bigger air filter so i'm not able to hear the sound any more. but i have had the truck for 28000+ mils and never had it through a code. and i have had the DiabloSport on my truck sense Christmas (it has even went to the drag strip). the only thing that has changed was the update....

I can think of three things:
1)Exhaust leak
2)Dead catalytic
3)Bad O2sensor

Depending on the booster you're using, I'd almost bet on a dead cat. You aren't putting in some cheap booster are you? NOS Race Formula is the only one that the Hemi likes. If you're using anything else, you're likely fouling your cats and plugs.

Sounds like your "Dealer" only uses "Parts Replacers" instead of "Mechanics". It is so easy to replace many parts and when you can't find a resolution to the problem, blame it on the MODs. Unless you mounted something on an exhaust piece or bolt, it has nothing to do with the CIA. Quote them the "Moss Fergeson (sp?) Act.bigboystoy wrote:after taking it back to the dealer several times and them replacing several different things. they finely blamed it on my MOPAR CAI and would do nothing else about it.
Better yet find a different dealer that can pinpoint the problem and quit spending your hard earned money trying to correct what those idiots told you.
Just my two cents worth.
I had my 2010 Ram to the dealer 2 weeks ago with a tranny line leak.
It was the talk of the shop 'cause someone noticed extra buttons and switches and got curious. So they opened my hood & started looking.
They found:
CIA
No battery under the hood. Just 2 in the bed.
My slicks in the bed. (just got back from the track).
My dual AMSOIL oil filters
No fan on motor.
My nitrous system. (Active)
Air bags in the rear & lowered in the front.
Non MOPAR exhaust.
110 Power Inverter
etc. etc.
They replacexd my tranny line under warranty but warned me to remove my nitrous lines from the engine compartment if I ever needed warranty work on the motor. Told me my CIA was OK to leave in.
These guys know what they're doing.

well i ran the truck close to 100 mils and still no codes.
the oct booster was STP. i norm use Lucas, but the store was out.
the funny thing with the dealership was that the MOPAR CAI was bought and put on by a dealership... if anything they should have replaced the CAI, if thats what they thought it really was. but now of course i'm out of warranty...
as for the real problem i'm guessing its a O2 going out. i have just been waiting for it to throw the code. i have been having a problem with the truck running constantly. (at times it will straight hall ass, others it takes forever) i figured it was a sensor going out. just wasn't sure which one yet.

would the MDS being off had made it worse? hadnt thought of it before. i had seen some people saying they were getting better results without the MDS so i thought i would run a tank without it. could the truck not going into MDS had made it worse? i may try putting the 91 tune back on with the MDS and seeing what happends.

well i put the 93 tune on (figured it would make it worse if it was going to happen again) i have ran the truck about 150mils and no codes. so i'm still not sure why the light came on in the first place....
