Help....Need Custom tune reset

Post by oldmanwinter »

I HAD a custom tune loaded. It is in a Jeep with an 02 LS1. I backed up the Original and the Custom tunes via the Downloader to the PC. After I loaded the original back in the rig, the VATS keeps killing the fuel. So, I went back to the Downloader and sent the Custom tune back to the Predator. Loaded the Custom tune back to the vehicle, but the same thing happens. I get VATS codes and the rig shuts down.
I called Tech Support and was told that the Custom tune was no good after I pulled it from the vehicle, and had to be opened up in the CMR software, saved, then sent back to me.
I contacted the tuner, sent him the Original and Custom backups, and he said I dont need to to anything. Told me I had everything I needed, just to reload them. What the Heck is the truth???

Reading through posts, looks like I need someone to pull it up and save it for me....pleeeeze

I am not CMR GM dealer, but I use different software to tune GM cars. You need to look for theft (VATS or PATS) option and set it to none. Then look if the car has MAF installed or not, if it is mafless you need to make that setup too.

Also you will need to look over other mods on the car like injector size.....etc
