Disabling the rear O2's

Post by Blown_red_97z »

Car is an 06 GTO, U7191, latest revision just updated yesterday. I did some searching here and on ls1gto.com . I installed the 91 Ocatane predator tune and modified the parameters to turn COT off. In the instruction manual it says to disable P0420 and P0430 which are the 2 codes that threw my CEL. I have kooks LT's with no cats, which is why the code is being thrown. So is switching COT off enough to avoid a CEL again and disable the rear o2's, or is there another way to disable these codes? I have driven around a little yesterday and today with the tune on the car, enough to get the car heat cycled twice. Usually it takes 2 or 3 cycles of the code to be thrown before the CEL comes on on OBDII cars, so I am hoping it won't come back on, but if it does is there anything else I can do?

The default Predator tunes in the U7191 disable the rear O2 sensors automatically.
COT should be turned off when not running cats.
