Error trying to restore factory tune

Hi,

I have a u7180 v.9r08 with the 65 HP economy tune loaded in a 2002 Chevy Siilverado 2500 HD Duramax. I'm trying to restore the factory tune as I have to take it to the dealer tomorrow, and I keep getting an error message saying it can't restore the factory tune.

The only aftermarket electronics installed is a remote starter unit (Audiovox, I think) but it is hard wired in somewhere under the dash. If it has a fuse I can't find it.

How can I restore the factory tune? I need the password to force it - I spent over 45 minutes on hold for tech support this afternoon before I gave up.

I imagine I won't get any help tonight, so what do I do if the dealer flashes the computer? I'm sure they will because I'm getting the tranny serviced and the first thing they will do is hook up the computer whether it needs it or not.

You need to disable the remote start, it is the most likely possible cause of the issue....
