Haven't posted in a while, been real busy, but I thought I'd share my good fortune from last night's county fair truck pull. It was out of 15 trucks. This year, along with the Predator and better tires, I actually used it's hp by holding it in 1st until about 5100 (it has a 4700 shift point) and then shifting to 2nd gear...made all the difference. Last year it shifted into 2nd after about 30 ft and I went down the track at 3200 rpms... this year was almost a full pull, 291.36 feet, almost 50 more feet than last year. I got 2nd place this year, but the truck that beat me this year (same as last year) was an actual 5800 lb class pulling truck with weight added, heads, cam, headers, ladder bars, etc. The announcer commented that I must have big mufflers since he couldn't tell if it was running, lol. Wait til next year...headers, exhaust, CAI...could that put me ahead?

I'm still getting that limp mode every once in a while. It actually did it on the way to the fair yesterday. I got a little freaked out and was afraid it was going to do it while I was pulling, so when I got there, I reflashed the 87 tune back in it. It did great during the pull, though, and seemed to run good today. It didn't show any codes either. Weird.

Any codes when it limps?

Nothing comes up on the dash and nothing showed up on the Predator when I checked for DTC's. Yesterday it did it when I pulled out on a main road and started to get on the throttle, then it's like a light switch and comes back when it shifts to 2nd gear. Other times it's reversed, fine in 1st gear and goes into limp as soon as it hit's 2nd gear. I really does baffle me. I might try to have my video camera recording when I go out again and record it.

if you can get a datalog of it happening that would help alot!
