Shift Firmness / Tightness

I recently had my transmission fluid changed for my 03 Mustang, a family friend tightened my manual transmission for me so the gears would go in and stay in much easier.

my question is, how do i adjust this myself? its a little too tight for my liking. 5th to 4th is nearly impossible in one smooth pull because its so tight.

if it was increased mechanically, it may not be able to reduce it through the tune.
