Does Diablosport care about their customers?

I have tried several times to contact tech and no one answers the phone. I need to know if there was supposed to be a patch cord included with my tuner so that I can download the program for tire size adjustment. I think the dealer in which I purchased it from is feeding me a line of shit by saying that none of the tuners come with the patch cord and that I need to go to Circuit City or something. The Superchips tuner came with one.

There is no patch cord to hook up to your laptop or computer. This is an additional product that you need to go to a radio shack or walmart for

We are here answering the phone all day from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM M-Th and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays.
If you try calling and cannot get through quickly then please try again later, as we do sometimes get hit with quite a few calls at once.

Your dealer is correct, we do not include the cables in an effort to keep costs down.

Thanks

I called when I had trouble and was actually surprised at how quick someone did answer and talk to me about my problem. I got a bit of a feeling that he was shaking his head at my problem but helped me none the less. One thing you moderators should do is post a bit more instructions in big letters saying to not have any other programs running when trying to upgrade the tuner. Even the internet and wireless connection. I picked up one of those cables cost me 60 bucks from staples. it was one with usb end on it. I would try the radio shack or some other suggestions and get normal one probably get it for 20 bucks.

Well, I got a USB to serial cable as needed and it cost $29.99 at Staples. I don't have time to drive around the greater Seattle area to shop for a better deal. After I downloaded the DS installer and the update, I followed the instructions per each step and now I have a tuner that is "missing the application" and the install process fails everytime I try. It starts to write packet 1 of 14,000 + and it retrys this up to 13 times and then fails to download. I went through from scratch several times from the beginning, checked my baud rates on both the application and my computer, re-checked my connections and nothing. Why would anyone even use a serial port anymore? Haven't seen one in about 5-7 years. WTF!!!! All I know is that a friend of a friend has the Superchips and his came with a usb cord (doesn't require one to have to get a power cord either), has the tire size adjustment from the get go, and says that downloading updates is a snap without any wierd baud setting adjustments. It's basically plug and play. I have no idea why Diablo makes this process so difficult. If I factor in my time, the costs of the cables, having to drive back to where I bought it and fight for a return, I could have bought a set of injectors or spent a week on a beach in Maui!!
