inTune Beta testers needed!

Post by mikel »

Its time!!

I have a bunch of inTunes sitting here, ready to go out for Beta testing.

inTune is the replacement tool for the Predator.

At this point, we just need some qualified testers.

I will be totally honest, and say that simply volunteering will not get you in the program.

All feedback will be forum based in the private inTune Beta section (you'll get access once the program has started). You will not be permitted to openly discuss anything about the program outside of our private section of our forum.

We will require that you perform a multitude of tests on your vehicle, as well as work with it on a PC (transfer tunes, play logs).

You will be expected to provide regular feedback on the inTune unit, what you like, what you dont, what you would change, or if its perfect ;)

You will be expected to keep the unit up to date as we release updated versions, and run all the basic tests with each new version (read/write/restore/datalog/read/clear codes).

The initial Beta program will cover E38/E40 based applications, so any 05+ Vette, NBS 07.5+ Trucks, 08+ G8 GT/GXP, 06 LS4 applications, 05-06 GTO, 08+ H2, 06 TBSS....

Details:
Beta purchase price is $300.
At the end of the Beta program, at MY discretion, those who participated in the program and provided the required feedback will get a $100 rebate, making it a $200 tool. Beta units CAN NOT be resold.
If we dont get good feedback from you for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to the rebate, and this will not be up for discussion. All feedback will be up on the forums, so it can be tracked properly.

If you are interested and willing to participate, please:

Email me at mlitsch @ diablosport.com with the email titled inTune Beta

List what vehicle you have that you will be testing on.
Tell me if you currently have a Predator or trinity.
Provide me with your current screen name here on our forum.

From there I will put together a group of 20-25 guys (half dcx, half GM) to ship units to.

If you are one of the guys who I have said for a while now 'you're in', please jump through the hoops and get me this info to make my life easier Smile

Thanks

beta test

I'm still here (2010 Colorado - 5.3L V8) Though I'm really interested in the Trinity (for the guages display feature), I would assume the tunes for the Intune are the same or very similar. I can also get some driving time in my son's 2006 GMC Canyon (3.5L I5)

beta test

I got a reply from Mike. he left a message that he just wanted locals for final Alfa testing even though his original message was for Beta testers. OH, well, shot down again. Pittsburgh isn't very local. But thanks for the reply, anyway.

Almost all of these.

inTune is a whole new ballgame.

inTune brings full factory reflash capabilities to the table, a feature never before seen in any handheld tuning device.

inTune is not limited to supporting Ford/GM/Chrysler. inTune will take us into BMW, Mini Cooper, Mercedes, and many more.

inTune will be desired by not only end users, but high end shops that work on cars and require reflash capabilities, as inTune can ideally replace a Star Scan, a Tech 2, a Cardaq, or whatever you are using for flashing PCM.

It also has full factory scan tool capabilities, so it will be able to perform factory diagnostic functions like crank relearns.

My favorite part so far will be the lack of any required interface software. Plug the inTune into your PC (or Mac!!), and open the external hard drive (inTune).
Want your backup file? drag it out of the folder and drop it on your PC. Done.
Got a custom tune you want to load to the inTune, drag it from your PC to the intune. Done.
Want to update the inTune, drag it to the inTune...you get the point.

We'll have to develop a type of driver for live streaming to the Dataviewer program, but oh yeah, that driver will be in the intunes drive already, so you just drag it from there, install it on your PC, and done. Dont even have to visit the web site.
The inTune manual will also be on the tools' drive, as well as any documentation you may need, along with a link to the inTunes downloads page on our website.

Theres more, but thats all for now Wink

Mainly so i can replace tech scan 2 and do a full REflash. Not to mention reading the updated OBD2 enhanced functions that the scan2 does. Like ABS and transfer case codes. Will be nice.
