Need to have my U7194 unlocked

I am the original owner of a U7194 Predator purchased in November 2007. The tool is married to my old 2007 Corvette. Recently I traded this Corvette for a 2011 Corvette. My Predator still has the backup from the 2007 in memory since I never restored the original before trading. I need to get this thing unlocked so I can use it on the new Corvette (it is compatible according to your list). How can I do this? Thanks for any help.

wait...
when did you buy that 7194 predator?? it may NOT be compatible... if it's an older version 7194, it will not be able to use the newer, bigger crom revision update files...
what revision is it on now? and when did you originally buy it?

I purchased it in October 2007...right after I purchased the 2007 Corvette. It has v.9r05 on it currently. That is an update I loaded on it when I was looking for that TCM update that never showed up...probably over 3 years ago now if memory serves. Pretty sure it's compatible...

Thanks Jon. I'll fill that out right away. One other thing, my 2007 Vette did not have OnStar but this new one does. As I recall this use to necessitate the removal of a fuse before connecting the Predator to the vehicle. Is this still the case? Thanks again for your help.

No worries about fuses with the latest versions.

ok.... nope, that 7194 is not going to work for your 2011 vette... it's an older 7194 that does not support the bigger, newer crom revision updates... so you will not be able to update it to the latest revision to have 2011 vehicle support...
the highest revision that 7194 will be able to go to, is revision 9r10... which will add support for more 2008 vehicles, support for 2009 vehicles, and the 2010 camaro...

Ok Monte, thanks for the heads-up, you just saved me $100 and the embarrassment of not getting the original tune loaded and COSTING me $100...if ya know what I mean...
Guess it's time to upgrade...thinking about the Trinity 1000...should be a good match with the new Vette and manual transmission...no more TCM to beg for

you should still get it unlocked/reset tho.. that way you could sell it for some $$ towards your trinity
