Mikel-Can you ask your sales dept-When on the 5.7 Hemi Prg?
I've noticed a lot of "flaming" going on this forum over the past week about the delay of the 5.7 Hemi programmer. People out there are getting upset both at DiabloSport and their resellers for not being able to provide a product on time.
AND then after failing to meet the deadline the first time, DiabloSport apparently is going to miss the re-announced Aug 31st deadline.
After reading all that seems to be going on a simple question of "when" keeps getting asked and keeps never getting answered.
The moderator's of this forum are saying they are support and not sales. So I have a simple question that perhaps you can pass onto your sales people on behalf of all us 100's of 5.7 Hemi Predator Programmer pre-orders as to when an ETA will be? Maybe ask them for an official statement towards it's progress of "retesting" and release to put us now upset customers at ease?
Trust me when we say, we (the upset customers) have emailed sales and called them, to basically get no answer their either. However, there must be someone within the DiabloSport Company that has a clue as to it's answer, and we're all pretty sure that you - Mike - know possibly who that person is - or can pass the question onto someone else who does. Can you please ask them to provide some sort of substantiated answer, or ETA, or even an official statement towards it's progress to help us "worry worts" quit worrying.
I understand this falls outside of your "support" duties of this forum, but we would all be greatly appreciated if you could get this question to the correct people for us, to help us get some "info". This bit of extra effort on your part would not go un-noticed by any of us. I know the resellers who are getting hounded as well, would also show some appreciation towards you for getting this answered as they are most likely fielding 100's of more complaints daily than what you actually see on this forum.
It's not their (the resellers) fault for offering pre-sales, I mean they have to, as DiabloSport sales requirements from those resellers are so high for them to retain their resellers status (30K a year I think is what I read in your policies). So in-directly, DiabloSport does have to hinder some of the blame for all the complaints. I mean you did offer an initial release date of Jul 31st and missed that, and now are basically (well so far anyway) offering no insight into as when the actual date will be.
I know you don't have our money, and I know the companies who sell your products - well quite frankly, you could care less what their business practices are, as long as you make a sale to them - but you have no control over them. But you should realize those companies who sell your products are actually viewed as "representatives" of your product, and when they look bad, you look bad! I mean that's Marketing 101 type stuff.
I'm not asking for you get an answer today for this question, but I am asking if today, you can pass that question onto the people who may be able to provide us an answer or at least something on it? Keep in mind, the longer the delay into getting the answer, unfortunately, the worse DiabloSport's Company image gets.
I mean "I don't know", just doesn't seem to cut it. Especially when people have already paid your resellers for this, and the resellers keep telling us to contact you people to get a more direct answer! I mean what else are the resellers suppost to be telling us?

If you go there according to the owner they have said as recently as two days ago they look to be on for the end of August release date. I don't know where you heard that they are going to delay it again. Who knows it might. I also heard from one of the vendors that there is a good possibility that TCM programming will be in the initial release now.

Mike should had put his time on working on the programmer, this way, maybe we should get one on the first release date...
The biggest work for the Predator for the Hemi who have been done is the the marketing job...
Why do you think they speak on a forum ? Mike is not an engeener, he work for the sales and marketing departement... He have done a great job, but now, we begin to understand his game...
I don't like that, I'm really not happy...
From a companie like that, it's completely absurd...

Christ, you guys have never tried to being a new item to cover several very differnt platforms to market have you ?
It not like "Oh I think we will release the 5.7 Hemi" They have to test across several years of cars/truck and then test for newer factory software.
They had a target date, that got pushed back so they could make sure the stuff would work on some rather odd birds. Case in point the 05 300c SRT8's, the early 04 build Magnums and 300c's ? If you recall some other Red tuner company had MANY issues with the early 04 builds.
So go cry to your mommas, bunch of pansy asses.

On July 31st they didn't release an offical annoucement till mid afternoon. That's what got me a bit upset.

They screwed up once....to save face...I wouldn't answer any DATE questions till I was GUARANTEED IT WAS DONE!!!!
If you lose some sales due to cancellations, at least you aren't made a liar TWICE.
If I miss a deadline for a customer, I don't give them another one...I just get it done right as fast as I can.
They could very well be done considering I know 402 motoring has one in their possession.

Guys, I have forwarded your concerns to the owners of the company.
I have asked that an official statement be made to address these concerns.
The only thing I can say for sure is (in reference to powerbbs post): we have not taken any money for these tools on preorder.
There is only one dealer that I am aware of that has billed its customers, but they have the money in the form of a certified check.
All of the other retailers are waiting to bill the customer until they have something to bill them for.

I'm not going to panic, nor will I get mad if there is a delay, but a clarification on if they are going to be released on time would certainly be nice.

You probably can't answer this one but if you can thank you....are you referring to HHP as one dealer mentioned above? I was just wondering if they are authorized to sell your product or not since I can't find them on your web page.

HHP is an authorized dealer.

I've done alot of research and believe this will be a good tuning tool when it comes to market. And I don't mind waiting. I just want it to be right when I get it. I ordered mine from tbyrne motorsports when they started taking orders. The gentleman that took my order said I won't be charged until these are ready to ship so it doesn't cost me anything to wait. Please make the wait time short

I totally agree with you there! I actually waited until Jul 30th to place my order just to try and prevent me ordering a delayed or wrong product. That's a horrible business practice on DiabloSport's part. They new days, if not even weeks before the release date that they weren't going to make the deadline. Their techs were commenting about that all over the web on other forums. They did exactly that! They didn't even bother to notify their "authorized" distributors ahead of time.
They say they're sick of the "ranting" coming towards them. But with this type of business activity, what else did they expect? It's now not a matter of patience, it's now a matter of many of us ordering a part number for our TRUCK that will get shipped to us, yet now it is NO LONGER THE CORRECT PART NUMBER FOR OUR TRUCK. In fact, the part number for our truck, doesn't even exist yet.
I said it earlier, that's just not cool, not cool at all. Sorry for ranting... but I've contacted the "authorized seller" - (I'd post their name/URL, but the last time I did something like that - diablo moderators send me an email telling me they had to delete the post as the seller I was talking about was one of their major authorzied dealers.. it does have the letters RPM in their name though), and they just quoted me their policy on "special order items"... no returns/exchanges on special order items.
I'm out 400.00. Can I send this back to diablo (free of charge) for the correct programmer when it comes out, as the reseller won't let me cancel the order now, or take it back?
Somethings gotta be worked out here..., as now it's purely DiabloSport's fault I'm out the cash.... SO... please help.

Anyone that ordered a tool for a truck will not be shipped a car tool.
We will fill truck orders once the truck tool is ready.
