"Dataviewer Application has stopped working"

Just installed Dataviewer, DSD, and pl2303 , as well as another driver and finally got the software up and running on win7 64 bit...
I pulled a log off the dsp while connected to Dataviewer, and It works fine there, but the problem is, I cannot send a log... I clicked all pids, went to save file as: , saved to my data folder, and uploaded it to Deposit File, ( then right clicking to "open with" dataviewer ) and a window comes up like its going to run , but then I get an error box saying "dataviewer application has stopped working" , and If I try to open someone elses I get a bunch of letters and numbers like a binary code..
So I am the only person who at the moment can view the log.. So like someone else mentioned to me, could I have missed something? or Could there be an issue with the up/download? This is 10x more confusing to me now since this is my first time ever using it..
