RE: 2005 ssr speedo fix
I have spent some time on the SSRfanatics site and have had a couple local SSRs here to test with, and have thus far been unable to correct the speedo.
Fortunately/unfortunately, this is not a problem soley on our end, as it would seem that ther is NO solution to this issue currently, as no other software seems to be able to correct this issue.
Either way, we have some truly talented people here working onthis, and we plan to figure it out eventually.
I do not yet have an ETA as to when this might be accomplished.
Thanks

the speedo problem is a software issue. The WOT 3-4 shift is a tune issue that needs TCM support to remedy BUT that is also the way the factory has set- as the factory does not support WOT shifts in the SSR, SS truck, etc. This is found throughout many GM cars because the trans is not strong enough to take the shock load of an O/D shfit @ WOT in a 5000 lb vehicle (as per GM warranty requirements for longevity) It can be corrected in the tune (with TCM support) but there is a reason for it, just FYI. The pcm will let it shift if the throttle is backed off to about 40-60% i believe, then you can resume WOT.
