I have a 02 7.3 and was hoping this would help mpg a little. . I installed exactly the way the instructions said. It started right up when I put it in but it was already warm. The next morning the WTS light would not turn off, I did get it started but it took about 5 minuets. Iwent to work for 8 hours and I had a very hard time starting after just 8 hours. Same problem WTS light would not turn off. Driving down the freeway it just died. I had it towed home and pulled the chip out, truck runs great no problems. Is the any way I screw something up? I used a green scotch brute pad to remove the clear coating on the contacts. Any help would be great. I would like to try it one more time but I don't want to be stranded on the road. N. Thanks

I reinstalled the chip today. I cleaned all the contacts really good and it seemed very clean. The WTS light would not turn off, so i didn't even try to start it. Same problem as the other day. I don't know what is going on.

where di you get this thing?

We haven't sold them in 4 or 5 years, and they are sold blank, and have to be programmed to each vehicle, sounds like this was programmed to a different vehicle.

is there anywhere or anyone that can program this chip to my truck? any help would be greatly appricated! Thanks
