Any new tricks for Windows Vista
I am using the Diablo Sport Predator for the Dodge SRT-4. I loaded the drivers that came on the CD as well as searched here on the forum and tried several of the ones I found here. No luck. My laptop knows that a usb device is plugged in but the message I get is "USB device not recognized". I tried all the Windows Vista fixes listed on the Diablo website. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeasen

download this driver
www.diablsoport.com/drivers
then go to your device manager and click the icon next to the word ports with the usb cable plugged in, right click and choose uninstall. then reboot your computer with usb not plugged in and once windows is restarted you can reinsert the usb cable and see if it goes successful from there.

Connection problems
I followed Jon's instructions to the Tee and I received the message that "the new software has been installed and my device is ready to use" however when I start the Diablo Sport Downloader software it cannot find the device??? What do I do next??? Thanks, Jeasen

RE: Connection problems
is the tool powered up on the main menu?
you may have to restart windows for the driver to take affect.

Problems with Vista
The device manager says "No driver installed for this device". So when I try to reinstall the driver I get a message that says "Windows has determined that the best driver for this device is already installed". What do I do now????

RE: Problems with Vista
need to check your usb cable port settings in the Windows Device Manager....
hook up the cable and predator to your pc...
go into Windows Device Manager...
go to the com ports section.. find your cable listing.. double click on it to bring up the properties window...
go to the Ports tab...
make sure bits per second is set to either 57600 or 115200...
click the Advanced button..
make sure the com port is set to 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5...
click on OK on all the windows to exit out...
start up DSDownloader, go to options, make sure Auto Connect is selected...
should be good to go...

RE: Problems with Vista
I have tried and tried to get my laptop with Windows Vista to connect to my Predator with no success. I decided to try my old laptop from work. It is running Windows 2000 Professional. What driver should I use for Windows 2000 Professional. I am trying to update the Predator calibration for a stock tune. I am using the serial to USB cable to connect the two together. Thanks in advance for your help.
