hey all. has anyone defied the dreaded limp mode ??
strap on a blower , give it some lead foot and BANG limp mode,,
customers are complaining they cant enjoy a a nice powerskid ... sometimes we get the shift early enough to grab second keeps the revs at 4500 and turn em up the street but for the average joe blow who just pays and expects continious performance every time he plants it these cars shit themselves,,,

any insight ??

Have you tried raising the rev limiter? Thats normally the only reason they go into limp mode....... unless you're not using copper core plugs?

hey man,

you will probably get more for this answers on the CMR forum.

is your tune properly scaled for boost? 2-bar MAP sensor installed?

if you installed a 2-bar MAP sensor, is it scaled right? stuff that should be done if you didn't:

*Scale your map sensor: Scalars>>Powertrain Configuration:

SRT4 2bar
MAP sensor KPA offset 4.8
MAP sensor slope 46.38
SRT4 3bar
MAP sensor KPA offset 6.8
MAP sensor slope 61.85 *

have you seen the F/I "sticky" Johan put on the CMR forum:

yeah mike rev limits raised even in autostick ,,, if i select 1st gears power off and plant it ,,, before it changes to second gear it limps like a pensioners co^K its annoying ,,, happens on ALL charged cars ive done , all i tell people is learn to drive it ,, havnt tried copper plugs, but i dont see how they can tell the tranny not to limp...
ive tried rev limit at 7000 and std upshifts so i can have a large buffer between but they all do it ,,
even to do a sick burnout , cars shit emselves whn blower comes on , it revs to quick , and by the time we let off a little it either bogs down or limps,,, they all do it ,,
whithe lightnening good to hear from ya buddy long time no speak map scaling is fine bro , even does it with STOCK can tune from procharger or vortech whatever the case,
ive checked those at key on all is good ,,,,, '
these cars im talking bout drive perfect , you just cant drive em like merc who seem to be fine sitting on a limiter doing a burnout on youtube or powerskidding up the street 1st 2and gear,,,apparently we got the same boxes too
fuc^&ng weird...

The reason I brought up the copper core plugs is because the Hemis won't run right on Platinum core. It somehow screws everything up. Normally activates the Auto ShutDown relay and kills the motor. We haven't figured out how it knows what kind of plugs are in there, but it always does somehow.

Unfortunetly, I found this one out with experience. :( And apparently Bosch had similar complaints from other people, because they pulled the Hemi from their newest Application Guide. They no longer recommend any of their plugs for any Hemi motors.

All NGK plugs have copper cores. So thats what I would recommend. The Iridium IX, number LZTR5AIX13, was the plug I was told to run on my old Jeep SRT8, so either that one or one heat range colder would be the one to run on a blown motor.

spewing ,,,, thats what im running in my cars man,, :( got a set of 6 's
just another thing ,,, p0300 random misfires .. and i mean random.. never feel it misfire but sometimes it pops up,, can i just increase the counts before code drop? to eliminate it ,, sort of like knk sens vs volts?
