AFM (DOD) shut off?

Post by trucknut »

does the intune support the ability to shut off the AFm cylinder shut down in vehicles? this was one of my main reasons at looking at the predator, but i see the intune is replacing the predator.

It was the first thing I shut off, and gone is that annoying exhaust sound. Just loaded the Diablo tune this evening, can't wait to see how it runs.

I installed the Intune 91 Octane on my 2012 Camaro Automatic and did not see where to turn off the AFM. Where in the menu do I go turn off the AFM?

Go into the same tune you installed and it is in the modify tune/parameters

I have tried all three tunes "Diablo tune", "Stock tune" and "91 Octane" tune and after each, there isn't a Dialog asking if I want to modify the tune/parameters. After it completes the write, it says click "continue" to reboot and continue tuning and starts at the start up screen. I then go back to the "tune vehicle" section and try the "adjustable Parameters" and that always takes me to "write the "????" tune (which is the last tune that was selected and appears to go thru the write process again and reboots when completed. Is it possible the adjustable parameter section of the tune for Camaros did not get included in the initial release?

Under the "Tune Vehicle" menu, you need to select the icon that says "adjust parameters", modify tune. It should take you to a "tune vehicle" screen. Select the parameter you want to change in your tune.

When I connect my Intune I get the main screen. I then select "Tune Vehicle". From there I select "Adustable Parameter" and the tuner prompts me to turn the ignition to "on" to determine Vehicle info. I turn the key to the "on" position and it then pops up a Dialog box "Install PCM 91 Octane tune?" with a red X to cancel or green checkmark to install. Its like the tuner skipped the section to modify any parameters. I've tried proceeding with the install and cancelling the install. In either case, I do not get a section of parameters to adjust.

try this... select Tune Vehicle... then select the diablo tune you want to install, like you normally would the first time... then it should ask you if you want to Modify the tune? - select the green checkmark for yes, to modify it...

does it go into the adjustable parameters that way?

Hi 06Monte,

I tried that for all three tunes ... thinking that maybe it was just the 91 octane tune that wasn't working, but it did the same thing on all three tunes. It never asked if I wanted to modify the tune. I have a 2012 Camaro automatic SS

I don't know what I could have skipped .... I can send screen shots as I go thru the menus. It still is not working.
