2010 Camaro Tuning for Mods.

Post by Skittle_on_crack »

I'm currently just running a DiabloTune on my 2010 Camaro SS LS3 but I'm getting some new toys that the Trinity isnt going to allow me to tune for. I just ordered my Christmas presents for myself. Long Tubes and a Cam. I have a major trust issue with allowing other people to tune my car ever since a friend of mine had to order a new SVT long block three days after he got his car tuned. (Tuner added 6degrees of timing over stock on a 2.76 pulley.. slagged a piston and ruint the whole motor)

I was just wondering what my options were here. I was already in need of tuning work, but everyone around here locks tunes which does me no good since I have to adjust fuel and timing every time I swap back and forth between motor and nitrous (plus the whole trust issue)
I know some about Tuning but nowhere near enough to tune for cam. I know several people have suggested HP Tuners because of the features it has (like disabling rear O2s and such) but I wanted to hear from some people here before I choose to go that route.

My current mods are
-K&N Intake
-Custom exhaust with cats deleted resonators deleted and mufflers replaced with glasspacks.
-NX wet plate system jetted for 150 shot.
-LT Headers 1 7/8in
-Cam .641/.614 231/236 111lsa

Other then having it tuned, you're only option is to drop the $2500 and buy the CMR software so you can tune it yourself.

To be brutally honest, you need to just find a good tuner, they are out there. You'll likley end up doing more damage trying to tune it yourself with HPt or something like that, than letting a pro dial it in for you.

Got a ZIP code? I can check to see if there is anyone in your area that has our software.

Mike can you help me please with a local shop forna good tune , I have called and researched a few shops and all the ones I research have horrible reviews. I live in Vegas 2 weeks a month and then I drive my car back to San Francisco where I live at the other 2weeks a month. So any shops in between the both that you could help me locate would be nice. I have a 2011 camaro ss w k&n intake, slp loudmouth 2, and trinity. I appreciate any help just want to get maximum performance out of this thing :)
