so as long as i keep the boost below 50psi the head gasket wont be harmed? how high will the boost fooler let u go? did u notice a diffrance in your egts? mine seem to get high when pull a steep grade loaded, might be nothing i can do about that though..

i run the stack as well as the predator alone with the boost fooler. when i run either of the performance tunes i've never seen the boost go above 42 psi. when i run the tow tunes and i'm pullin my trailer it spikes around 40 or 42 and will hold a consistent 38 to 40 up a hill. does the fooler help with EGT's? ABSOLUTELY. there is no way to run any of these tunes with out it if your towing. they say you can, but you can't. any time you hop on it the EGT's skyrocket and thats even towing an empty trailer, believe me, i've tried it. now i've never run the extreme tune so i don't what kind of boost numbers would be produced with that one. hope this helps.

When I used to run the Extreme tune with no boost fooler I would hit 34psi and that was it...I am curious what I would hit if I had a boost fooler on my ol' 03'...

thanks fyrguy that helps alot . i ordered one today. i noticed my egts climb when i tow, so that will work out perfect for me. maybe i wont have to back out of the throttle when pulling a hill now.

I've never run a boost fooler, and never thrown a code. I do have the puck. Does it do boost fooling?

ropnjessi, you have to do a wastegate mod to get boost fooling, not the actual BF.
cameroneod, the puck doesn't do BF'ing. Get the BF & you will lower EGT's & get 42 lbs. of boost instead of about 28 lbs. HTH!!

I run a HTB2 turbo that has the wastegate already preset at 40psi, I can turn it up if needed.....since I posted my first question I did buy a boost fooler and saw no increase in psi.

Running over 40psi on a stock turbo consistantly will greatly shorten the life of the turbo.....

Running puck only with boost fooler.
Boost fooler did reduce EGT's.
Without fooler it was easy to hit 1300+ while getting
kinda stupid!.
With fooler I can stay in it much harder and longer and
never hit the 1300 mark!

FOLLOW UP!!
I forgot to mention..
Without boost fooler, max pressure was 30 PSI.
With quadzilla fooler I am hitting 36-38 PSI.
I think the extra air is what is helping keep the EGT down.

Sorry about the issues with truckaddons.com. I am completely out of the boost foolers and have been for some time. Who have you been dealing with here? I'm sure we placed your order with Quad for it to be direct shipped to you.
Shoot me an email at
[email protected] with your information and I'll see what I can dig up for you.
