Buying used predator need advice!!

hey, great forum you got here! i have a 2011 gmc sierra 4.8 4x4 and im looking at a used predator off of kijiji and i was just wondering what are some things i sould try before buying to make sure everything is functunal, and if its even compatable. its a u7194. thx!

find out what revision it's on... when it's powered up and at the main menu, the revision number is at the top of the screen...

it will need to be a newer revision number for 2011 support... and if it's too old, you won't be able to update it to the newer revisions to get support either... so also find out when he bought it brand new...

also, he needs to restore the original backup stock tune to his vehicle in order to unlock/reset it... if he doesn't do that, then it will still be locked to his vehicle and you won't be able to use it at all... and you'd need to pay diablosport $129 to get it unlocked/reset so you can use it...

but again, it all depends on what revision it's on, because if it's too old, it won't support your 2011 anyway...

what revision is needed for a 2011, and ho do i know if it is unlocked for me? sorry for the newb questions but im verry uneducated when it comes to tuning, the most ive done is bolt ons. thanks for the advice btw!

I have a 2010 camaro ss and bought a used predator u7194 with vpr21 programming. I bought it to mainly take out the dod. Will this unit work on my app without a update? Thanks
