New Guy TCM question

Post by jimmybuckets »

I don't even have my Predator yet, but I've been reading quite a bit on this forum about the "TCM" updates. Does this mean the Predator can't change shift points or shift firmness? I was under the impression that it was able to do this. Or, is DS and people on the forum talking about a more in depth way to control the TCM besides siimple shift points and pressures. I've seen alot of people saying that Superchips has TCM support, but I just sold the Flashpaq to try the Predator because it seemed more flexible. Can I have some info on how the DS unit tunes the tranny and what kind of control does the end user have over it. I bought the U7194 for the 07 nbs silverado that I drive. It is the J motor or LY5 iron block with AFM.

Well I just talked to DS and there is NO support for any type of tranny tuning manually or in their tunes themselves...I'm not even going to open the box...this thing is getting an RMA before it gets here. You guys really should make it more clear on your website that the 07 NBS have no tranny support what so ever.
