I'm thinking about buying a new Diablosport tuner on ebay. Just thought I'd see if I can get some input about doing that.
Thanks, dirty.

I bought my Predator from a user on fullsizechevy.com, and it was exactly as described. However, when you buy a used Predator, you do not get the lifetime updates or warranty.

I must have to say support Diablo and buy from a register Diablo Dealer. you can never be truly safe when you buy something on ebay claiming to be new or unlocked. I know many people who bought other tuners that were claimed to be new and/or unlocked and it ended up being a nightmare. They were not functional for their vehicles, unusable and / or Vin locked in which they ended up paying more to get the tuners to work than buying it direct from the manufacturer.
Remember just because it looks like a good deal doesnt necessarily mean it is and you pay for what you get in life.

I have 2 cents to throw in here.
1.) Not everyone knows about this site, and knows not to buy off of ebay.
I didn't know when I bought mine.
2.) I bought off of ebay from an authorized Diablosport dealer, but am now probably screwed if I want to get it unlocked.
So, what do you say Diablo, I bought from and authorized dealer, can I show my proof of sale, and get it unlocked or what?
Thanks,
RLT

If they're an authorized dealer, why is it locked? It shouldn't be. If it is, they should be more then willing to replace it.
How do you know they're authorized, did they tell you so? Or are they in DiabloSports dealer locator? If they said so it doesn't mean a thing. Alot of people/companies say alot of things, but that doesn't make it true.

Thay are on the list of authorized dealers, and once you use the U7180 it is married with the truck.
I sold the truck and would like to get it unlocked, so I can sell it. I put the stock tune back in the truck.
I'd buy a new predator for my ford diesel, once they get the bugs out of it, but not if they won't unlock this one.
Also, my manual doesn't say anything about ebay either.

As long as you restored the stock tune to your truck, the U7180 is one of the tools that can be unlocked for free as long as you have a copy of the receipt.
Thanks

I've tried to email them, three times, but no response.
I've called them a couple of times with no answer and no message system.
