Preator vs. other handhelds

Gentlemen,

I currently have a 2006 Trailblazer SS with a K&N Aircharger, Corsa Touring Catback and a U7191 Predator. I like the setup but I am axiously awaiting TCM support. All of my anxitiy has made me do as much reading and research as I can on other options for handheld tuners and leds me to have a few questions. And please keep in mind that I am completely ignorant on how these things work so I am just trying to compare apples to apples.

What are the differences (pro and con) between a Diablo and Superchips?

For instance I read that the Predator has tuning adjustment for the timing table in large increments (1000rpm-1800 - 2000 rpm - 3800 and 4000 rpm - 7000) and fuel table adjustments (2000 rpm-3800 and 4000-7000rpm) but I read that the Superchips is tuned for every 200 rpm.

Does this mean that Superchips has a finer tuned option or am I comparing two different things?

Does Diablosport tune in 200rpm increments?

I also read that Superchips does not allow as much user adjustment - but Diablosport does. Can someone explain this in a little more detail?

When reading about Superchips TCM capabilities I note that they not only do they allow for user adjustment of shift pressure and shift point but also provide - with the performance tune - an improved shifting tune. Can I assume that you will - when TCM support is issued - also provide not only user adjustability but an improved shift tune for the 06 Trailblazer SS?

It seems that Diablosport has a much better data logging support and software and can record more PIDs but Superchips has the ability to do some more common data logging - trip computer stuff - 0-60 times - distance to empty. I have seen some of the things that Scan Gauge can do and I would love to have that ability in my DiabloSport. Is anything like this planned in the future?

And by the way an improved manual for the DS would be great as well.

I don't have a TBSS, but I had the same tuner for my truck that supports the TBSS from Superchips. Although you can change shift points and firmness...it was pretty limited at least for my truck. I just order the Predator and should have it Friday...so I can't make a statement as to which is better...I sold the Flashpaq. Although shift points and firmness made the truck feel different, it didn't make it any faster, at least for me (I have an 07 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3l with 3.73 rearend). The main reason I sold the SC was it didn't really take care of the huge lag I had off the line. I have been told by a few that the Diablo can take care of a large part of that lag...plus being able to adjust timing and spark can't be done on superchips...so you're kind of giving up something that I think is a little more important to be able to adjust your shift points plus or minus 500rpm...SC doesn't give you access to any torque managment. From my understanding so far...It would be very nice if DS could get the TCM update out so there could be at least one complete handheld on the market...as of right now...not one of them as far as I know does everything, but to me...coming from the superchips...the diablo gives me more control, even if it lacks some features that other products have...but the same goes in the other direction, the diablo has features that others don't as well.

1.Those are ranges of adjustment that we allow you to alter if you desire.
The provided tunes are changed across the board, not every 50 or 200 rpm.
We allow you to adjust timing and fuel, along with things like rev limiters and speed limiters.

2. Yes, TCM support will allow you to make all of those changes, and we will include firmer shifts and optimized shift points in the canned tunes.
