2006 GTO M6 Tool Freezes

Post by dbeachel »

Just got my inTune, Updated it, and plugged it in to my GTO. I can read the ECU, but when I try and write, it freezes. I open the drive on PC, open "Tunes", and folder is empty.
Someone Please advise.
Thanks.

I edited my last post, it looked rather nasty. I put it into my 11 Silverado gas, and it went to the tuning section right away. I didn't tune it as I don't want it locked to it at this time. But I am disappointed that it does not work on my GTO. I hope it is an easy fix. I wish I could erase the updates.

yeah, I'm not sure why it would be doing that... it may be that your calibration isn't supported - but it should tell you that on the screen and not freeze up, so I'm not sure what's going on there... definitely something that they will need to check out...

You can try it inthe 2011 truck, if it saves the backup, you can restore it to unlock it.
Either way, I'll help you out if there is any issue.
Please email the info.xml file from the intune drive to [email protected]

RE: Research Involved With New Drugs

After talking with Vas at support, and reading my CALIDs, We determined that the ECU has non-standard CALIDs in it from new. That would also explain why the car never had a governor and always seemed a little faster than it should have been.

NOW the trick is to find a GM dealer that will listen to what I have to say, and even better, understand what I am saying...

Wish me luck.

OK, I flashed your VIN to a PCM here, and...its working fine.

Have you tried it again after they reflashed it? You lucked out with a dealer that knew what he was doing ;)

yeah, I also learned that these car PCMs are WAY too complicated. That PIM thing almost left me there stuck after the reflash; luckily I had it on a reciept from when I had to replace the key a few years ago.
