I finally got my vehicle back after having the fan replaced, and now notice that the fan is on all the time (with the U7193 Performance tune installed, and after initial warm-up).
I assume that this is by design, but please confirm. I checked the tune parameters, and it has the following approximate values:
Fan 1 Off : 183
Fan 1 On : 191
Fan 2 Off: 192 (I think)
Fan 2 On : 194
With the stock 195 thermostat, this means that the fan will always be on high. I was at 195 degrees when I pulled into my garage, and the fan was just definitely on high. I am not sure if it shuts down above 30mph or not. Stock setting has low fan at 225 and high at 236. I like it being set to a lower temp range, but I would think that these settings will really stress the fan alot.
Anyone with comments, please advise.
Thanks!

RE: Cooling Fan Settings
Well, I just had my cooling fan replaced by the Chevy dealer. It was definitely dead.
Some of the SSRs (not sure of all of the year models that had the problem out of the 4 years of production) have been notorious for cooling fan failures, as is evident from the ssrfanatic.com website.
Thanks!

RE: Cooling Fan Settings
One question. Does the Predator cooling fans settings effect the fan's speed settings? I think the fans go off above 30 or 35mph if I recall, but it may be only for the AC circuit. Is this still the case, or is the fan still running based soley on the temp readings?
Thanks!
