I have a u 7193 Predator it will read the vin on my truck. I now own a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche. I know my truck calls for a u7192 but will my u 7193 tune my 2006 Avalanche with 5.3 engine . It also is a flex fuel. If it will not work can the u 7193 be reprogramed to work on the 2006 truck.

no... you have to have a 7192 model predator for that truck...

and no, you can not turn one model predator (7193) into a different model (7192)... you need to buy the correct model predator for the truck...

if you trade in your predator for the new/different predator, you get the new one for $250 I believe....

I was wondering. I bought the intune for my car but it wasent supported yet so I sold it to a buddy. I have a preditor U7193 for a 03 silverado 4.8 litre that I bought a while back. Can I use the same tuner on my 04 GTO 5.7 LS1?? If so how would I have to do it?

is the 7193 a newer version tool? i.e. is it on a 9rXX revision number? if so, then you can restore original backup stock tune to the truck in order to unlock/reset the predator, and then you could use it on your gto...

Im not sure. I bought it last year. I dont have a media kit for it yet. How do I see if it is 9rxx?

power it up in your car... once it boots up and is at the main menu, the revision number will be shown at the top of the screen.

Ok, was able to write the factory tune back to my truck. I wrote the Diablo tune to the GTO and took it for a drive. Idle was nice. Whal driving, from idle to half throttle it would shudder, miss and had no balls, but from half to WOT its a good thing I had my seatbelt on couse I would have ended up in the back seat,lol. I checked the revision its a 9r11
